Personalised educational support in Miyazaki for children with different learning needs or school attendance difficulties, led by a qualified special education teacher.
Every child deserves to feel understood
Children learn, communicate and experience school in different ways. Some need additional support with concentration, communication or schoolwork. Others may be anxious about school, overwhelmed in a large classroom or simply ready for a different approach.
SARA is a supportive educational setting where we begin by listening to the child and family, recognising strengths and building a realistic learning plan one step at a time.
Individual learning support
Our teacher holds a special education teaching licence and has taught in special needs schools, support classes and mainstream classrooms. Lessons can be adapted in pace, materials, structure and activities to help students understand and succeed.
For children finding school attendance difficult
When a child is reluctant or unable to attend regular school, there is no single right solution. We offer a safe learning environment, work on academic foundations and encourage curiosity through activities that interest the learner. Some students have rebuilt enough confidence to enjoy attending both SARA and their regular school, while others need a different path.
Where useful and with family agreement, SARA can communicate with a child’s enrolled school about learning and support. Whether external study is treated as school attendance is determined by the enrolled school under applicable guidance—not by SARA alone.
Learning at home and online
Families considering home-based learning can ask about individual academic support and online options. Requirements and procedures for formal school attendance vary; parents should consult their school or local board of education about specific obligations or recognition.
Working together with families
We believe regular conversations with parents and caregivers are essential. We consider each child’s interests, current difficulties, emotional wellbeing and long-term independence. Our work is educational; we do not provide clinical diagnosis or medical treatment, and we encourage consultation with appropriate professionals where needed.
No child’s journey is identical. We focus on the next achievable step, and on making learning enjoyable again.
